What OPA will never do
Five things OPA will not do. Each one is built into the program twice, in two separate places, so one mistake is not enough to get past it.
This page is not a promise. It is a description of how the program is built. The refusals happen whether or not anyone remembers this page exists.

It never sends anything without asking you
Anything you cannot undo stops and waits. Sending the claim. Confirming bank details. Agreeing to a declaration. OPA says what it is about to do, out loud and on the screen, and does nothing until you say yes.
There is no way to turn this off, and no "remember my answer". Every step is asked about on its own, every time.
Two separate checks. One decides an action cannot be undone before it is allowed to run. The other refuses to do the clicking. Neither depends on the assistant choosing to be careful. If either one has not seen your yes, nothing happens.
Cannot, not will not
It never types your password
OPA cannot type into a password box. It was not told not to. It cannot.
It never sees what is in one either. When OPA reads the page, password boxes are emptied out first, so there is nothing to send, store or lose. The text never reaches the program at all.
Emptied when the page is read, and refused again when typing is attempted. Two checks, in two different parts of the program, so a bug in one does not lose both.
You read it out
It never goes looking for your security codes
Government forms often text you a six digit code. OPA will not go and get that code. It cannot read your email, your messages, or any other tab.
It stops, tells you a code is needed, and waits. Read the code out and OPA will type it in for you. That is the only way a code ever reaches it, and it stays in your browser.
A code you fetched and read out yourself is not the same as a code the software went and got. The first keeps you in charge. The second is how people lose their accounts. We will not widen it.
Nowhere to put them
It keeps nothing
Your name, your date of birth, your licence number, your bank details. OPA stores none of it. Not on your computer, not anywhere else, not after you close the tab.
There is no account, no sign in, no history, and no server holding a record of your claim. There is nowhere in OPA to put those things. The full detail is on the privacy page.
Always on screen
You can stop it at any time
There is a Stop button on the panel, on screen the whole time. Press it and the session ends straight away.
Nothing is submitted. The form is left exactly as it is, filled in as far as you got. Carry on by hand, close the page, or start again. Closing the tab does the same thing.
Two things OPA is not
It is not the government. OPA is a separate tool. It helps you fill the form in. Your claim still goes to the government's own website, exactly as it would without us. You can always claim directly at wa.gov.au.
It is not a reason to stop reading the page. OPA says what it is about to do and waits, because the claim is yours. If what it says does not match what you see, the right answer is no.

Press Stop, then email us and say what happened. A person will reply.
